Hi, I’m Brandie!
I’m a California-based virtual therapist who helps individuals uncover their inner strength, navigate life’s challenges, and reconnect with their best selves.
I can’t wait to hear about your journey. Here’s a bit about mine:
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who’s passionate about helping people find strength in themselves, navigate life’s ups and downs, and feel more connected to who they truly are. I believe each person already has their best self within them—sometimes it just takes a gentle nudge and a safe, supportive space to rediscover it. In therapy, I strive to create that space by building a warm, trusting relationship where clients feel truly heard, valued, and understood.
My love for psychology began early, driven by a natural curiosity about the mind, human behavior, and the ways we connect with each other. This curiosity led me to pursue a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Cal State Los Angeles, solidifying my desire to help people on their journeys. My career began as a behavior technician, working with youth and families affected by autism and related disorders. Their resilience and strength inspired me and deepened my commitment to this work.
I went on to earn my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College, where my traineeship in a TK-8th grade school setting allowed me to help children manage emotions, access resources, and feel seen. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse settings, from a high school campus to a group practice, supporting adults, couples, and families.
Now, as a licensed therapist, I’m dedicated to giving back to my community by making mental wellness services accessible and helping to break down the stigma around therapy. I’m here to walk alongside you, offering support, understanding, and encouragement as you find your way forward.
My Philosophy
I believe that everything we experience has meaning and purpose. In our sessions, no topic is off-limits, and nothing you bring is too big, small, or shameful. I understand that we all have reasons for how we view the world and navigate life—and judgment doesn’t have a place here. My goal is to create a space where your unique experience feels seen, and you’re met with understanding, validation, and support to work through life’s challenges.
I see personal growth as an ongoing journey, one that can feel meaningful and fulfilling when we have a safe place to explore who we are. My priority is to offer that kind of space—a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where you feel empowered to reconnect with the best parts of yourself. I’m here to walk alongside you as you discover and embrace your full potential.
I believe that everyone is unique, and therapy should reflect that. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach here—I use a blend of therapeutic styles to fit what works best for you. My approach is flexible, drawing from person-centered, cognitive behavioral (CBT), acceptance and commitment (ACT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), psychodynamic, and humanistic therapies to create a space that feels right for you and supports your growth in the best way possible.
Therapeutic Specialties:
Anxiety
Anxiety can feel overwhelming and make daily life more challenging, bringing up worries, tension, and stress that can be hard to manage alone. Therapy offers a supportive space to explore and understand these feelings, giving you tools and techniques to make anxiety more manageable and lessen its impact on your day-to-day life.
Child (6-12) Therapy
Child therapy creates a warm, supportive space where kids can safely share their thoughts and feelings. It’s all about helping them work through emotional and behavioral challenges, develop strong coping skills, and support their overall well-being in a caring, understanding environment.
Healing Attachment
Attachment injuries can lead to challenges with trust, self-worth, emotional regulation, and forming healthy relationships. Using attachment-based therapy, inner child work, and mindfulness, we’ll strengthen self-compassion, foster security, and develop healthier relationship patterns.
Depression
Depression can touch every part of life, shaping how we think, feel, and connect with the world around us. Therapy provides a safe, caring space to explore what’s behind these feelings, gently work through negative thought patterns, and build strategies to help lift the weight of depression.
Adolescent Therapy
Adolescent therapy offers a supportive space where teens can navigate the unique challenges of growing up. It’s a place for them to explore their feelings, work through identity questions, and build helpful coping skills, all with the understanding and guidance they need during this important time in their lives.
Personal Growth/Self Discovery
Personal growth and self-exploration offer a chance to deepen your understanding of yourself, connect with your values, and discover areas for meaningful change. Whether you’re going through a life transition, feeling a bit lost, or wanting to build greater self-awareness, this journey can help you gain insight into your thoughts, behaviors, and what truly matters to you.
Life Transitions
Life transitions can bring big changes and new challenges, like moving to a new city, starting a job, going through a relationship shift, coping with loss, or facing any other major life event. During these times, therapy offers a supportive space to help manage the stress and uncertainty that often come with change, giving you the tools and understanding to navigate these shifts with confidence.
